Bob Perry - Chief Executive OfficerBob joined dhf in 2009. He has been involved in the lock and hardware industry for many years. Previously managing director of Chubb Locks and UNION Locks, Bob worked for ASSA ABLOY before joining dhf. He was chairman of the Association of Building Hardware Manufacturers from 1994-1996. At dhf Bob is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the business.

Patricia Sowsbery-Stevens - Deputy Chief Executive OfficerPatricia joined dhf in October 2015. She has over 30 years’ marketing experience and was previously a marketing and quality assurance consultant for a variety of organisations. She holds Chartered Marketer status and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Her overall objective is to raise the profile of dhf. Patricia has introduced changes at dhf with revised branding, accreditation of training and the provision of CSCS cards to name a few. She has overall strategic responsibility for the commercial department comprising marketing, training and membership.

Michael Skelding - General Manager & SecretaryMichael became general manager and secretary of dhf on its formation in 2004, having been secretary of its predecessors Association of Builders’ Hardware Manufactures and Door & Shutter Manufacturers’ Association since 1987. Michael has responsibility for representing members' technical interests. Providing advice to members on standards and legislation as well as representing dhf membership in the UK and Europe on various committees and boards. Michael also assists BRE on the Fire Door Safety training.

Kay Scattergood - PA to Michael SkeldingKay has been with dhf for over 31 years and has seen many changes! She started as Senior Secretary and has progressed to Manager of the Administration Team and is our grammar guru. She takes care of the day to day running of Head Office, and what Kay doesn’t know about dhf, isn’t worth knowing.

Eddie Payne - Finance ManagerEddie joined dhf in February 2025 as Finance Manager. He has over 35 years’ experience working in finance, where he previously worked in the NHS & the manufacturing industry. He plays a key role in supporting dhf’s financial operations and contributing to the organisation’s overall effectiveness.

Annie McKay - Office ManagerAnnie joined dhf in April 2026 in a new role for the organisation, covering the overall running of the office and externally recognised certifications, including ISO 9001 and Cyber Essentials.
Annie has worked in Office Management for 7 years and has experience in a variety of environments overseeing day to day operations and supporting large teams. Annie manages the administration team and ensures that every day at dhf runs smoothly.

Dawn Robinson - AdministratorDawn joined dhf in June 2022 in the role of Administrator. Her principal responsibility is to support Annie to carry out the day-to-day administrative duties for dhf. Dawn assists with the organisation of all dhf meetings, either face to face or via Teams and ensures that minutes are documented correctly.

Steve Hill - Senior Training & Compliance OfficerSteve has over 30 years' experience in the industry and has worked for a few companies who are current dhf members. Steve has represented his past employers at various dhf group meetings and is now pleased to be sitting on the other side. His main role is to deliver the suite of training courses offered by dhf as well as developing and delivering our collaborative training with BRE. He also provides support for the dhf technical helpline.

Huw Barnett- Senior Training & Compliance OfficerHuw brings over 26 years of experience within the door hardware and fire safety industry, having worked with two current dhf member companies in both field‑based and management roles. Throughout his career, he has represented employers at a range of industry group meetings and has developed a strong reputation for technical expertise and practical leadership.

Dave Jones - Training & Compliance OfficerTo date, Dave has nearly achieved 45 years' experience in the industry. During his career, he has always worked closely with field engineers, providing guidance, training and troubleshooting support. 2019 provided an opportunity for him to join dhf on part time basis, his main role is to deliver the suite of training courses, provide technical advice and support other areas of interest for the growing membership such as, the development of an industry-specific, occupational apprenticeship scheme.

Jonathan Colen - Commercial Manager Jon joined dhf in April 2025 and is responsible for creating and implementing commercial and marketing plans that will drive up revenue and ensure strategic objectives are hit. He has over 15 years’ marketing experience in a variety of roles, particularly in B2B and Digital Marketing with a focus on training and membership growth. Claire Willson - Training AdministratorClaire has been a valued member of dhf since October 2018, initially joining the team in an administrative capacity. Since April 2019, her role has progressed and evolved significantly, with a primary focus on dhf's training function. Olivia Juxon - Membership OfficerOlivia joined dhf in October 2021 as the new Membership & Training Administrator since then she has progressed to Membership Officer. With a strong background in handling complex administrative workloads, Charlotte is confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring information is processed efficiently and correctly.
